It's Been a While

This summer was an adventure.

Between starting a new job and buying my first house, not to mention dodging the horde of gnomish assassins after me, I got pretty overwhelmed for a stretch. For that reason, I didn’t communicate very well.

On the bright side, I also have good news: the conclusion of the Ember Sea Trilogy, Sun’s Fall, is done and will be released September 23!

In celebration, Serpent’s End, will be free September 21-September 23, so if anyone has the most remote desire to check out a pirates and dragons COMPLETE trilogy (I’m excited to be able to say that), then there’s no excuse!

I am sorry it took as long as it has for it to come out to you, but I feel good about the conclusion of the series. I don’t want to hype anything too much, but those that read it felt it was the strongest book!

In other news, I’ve started my next series. It is a vampire progression series combining some of my favorite parts of Cradle (shocking, I know), the Innistrad MTG set, and Diablo. Hopefully that doesn’t tip my hand too much, but I think it will be fun to read and write.

Progress will be slower than this year given some real time restraints, but I do want to keep giving you stories!

For those of you that took a chance on Serpent’s End and have stuck around to see it done, thank you! This has been a blast, and not just because of the glorious cover art.

Happy reading!

So excited to hear this! This is by far one of my favorite magic systems and I can't wait to see what happens next to Elliot and the crew

I'm glad to hear that you like the magic system! I don't have any tattoos, but they were so fun to play with that writing this series definitely made me consider it!

Read all three books, the story is very engaging!
That being said, you need to invest in better spell check and/or get some beta readers. Book 2 and 3 were a huge jumble of typos and errors.
I wasn’t super diligent, but here’s some of the ones I saw in book 3. For some reason I lost all the ones I’d catalogued from page 120-330 except 1.

Typos in book 3:
Page 23, 226 and 418- Reshoxu
Page 30 - how long until it was a choice ????
Page 51 - he strained his next should be neck
Page 65 - anything they could get acquire
Page 105 - Vonda shook her head. “I’m not a captain. Vonda works for me.”
Page 108 - “Get help from the Dominion, meet with as many dragons as you can and convince them help you
Page 119 - and revers the madness
Page 239 at firs the thought
Page 334 refers to the turtle when it should say crab
Page 343 we will fight you should say with or for.
Page 347 fasted
Page 353 with what I’ve sense
Page 364 Lucien matcher her smile
Page 373 was out of earshot, was out of earshot
Page 387 unready by any other than myself
Page 419 LeCirq reached a long finer out to touch
Page 428 Embers swirled around it to last onto one of the beams keeping Sunfall suspended above the sea.
page 429: but he kept fight.
Page 429: but steadies themselves
page 435: didn’t’
Page 436: LeCirq
had nothing left to use.
Page 440: and she would die before allowed Elliot to miss the chance.
Page 440: before they got to close.
Page 446: Yaleb, Finir, and Emry’s signature was still there,
Page 448: His pend drifted
Page 451: anything made my humans.

Hello, I just wanted to check in and see how things are going with you, no pressure or rush or anything like that. It's been a while since your last post. I hope all is well with you. Take care!
